The Rare Seasons Ericeira Experience
A Sanctuary for Movement, Connection, and Discovery
Forty-five minutes from Lisbon, Ericeira is a beautiful ocean town on Portugal's Silver Coast. Cobbled streets, cliffs above the Atlantic, and some of Europe's finest surf.
We gather here for five nights of yoga, movement, and long, considered meals, with slow mornings and time to wander the town and the coast in between. A small group, a boutique hotel, and every detail handled.
Day by day
Arrival & Welcome Dinner
Private transfers from Lisbon bring you to Ericeira by mid-afternoon. Settle into Aethos, then gather for a welcome dinner as the group comes together.
Movement & Exploration
Morning yoga in the private studio, then breathwork to open the day. The afternoon is yours in Ericeira, a walkable seaside town of narrow streets, cafes, and Atlantic beach.
Surf & Celebration
Yoga to start, then your first surf lesson on the coast that made Ericeira famous. Free time and town in the afternoon, and a celebration together in the evening.
Brunch & Spa
A slower day. A free morning, midday yoga, and a long group brunch at Aethos. The rest of the day is yours, to rest, swim, or use your complimentary spa session at Aethos.
Lisbon Day Trip & Farewell Dinner
Morning yoga, then a day trip into Lisbon. Time to explore the city before a farewell dinner together, one last evening as a group.
Departure
Private shuttles to Lisbon Airport through the morning and early afternoon. Until the next season.
Meet Your Instructor
Leigh Buttner
Tampa-based with over a decade of experience in the Los Angeles and Florida wellness spaces, Leigh brings a grounded, athletic approach to movement rooted in connection, presence, and community.
Her background as a student-athlete and master's graduate shapes a teaching style that is both intentional and approachable, blending strength, breath, and mindful movement in a way that helps people feel more connected to themselves and those around them.
Leigh believes wellness is about more than movement alone. It is about creating spaces where humans feel seen, supported, and inspired.
Whether guiding a purposeful yoga flow, leading breathwork, or connecting through shared experiences, her intention is to make movement accessible while offering practical tools that extend far beyond the mat and into everyday life.

Aethos Ericeira
Our home for the week is Aethos Ericeira, a boutique hotel above the Atlantic. Awarded a Michelin Key, it holds an acclaimed restaurant, two hammam-inspired spas, a private sauna and cold plunge, a heated saltwater pool over the ocean, a surf concierge, and a full gym. These spaces flow into the days, between movement, meals, rest, and exploration.
